NFL Week 6 2014 Against The Spread Picks

Broncos(-8.5) at Jets

The Jets are on their backs, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they kept this came closer than most expect. Still, that doesn’t mean they will cover this generous spread.

Pick: Broncos -8.5 (3 Stars)

Browns(-1.5) vs Steelers

The Browns are being taken too serious and the Steelers are being taken too lightly after a loss to the Bucs and barely pulling away from the Jags last Sunday.

Pick: Steelers +1.5 (5 Stars)

Titans(-5.5) vs Jaguars

The Jags are bad but have a played better than their record shows. Still, I have faith that the home team will pull away by at least 2 field goals in this one.

Pick: Titans -5.5

Falcons(-3.5) vs Bears

The Falcons and Bears haven’t impressed anyone thus far. This game is one of the more unpredictable games so far this season. With that being said, I like Falcons at home against anyone – especially a Bears team that just doesn’t have an identity.

Pick: Falcons -3.5 (1 Star)

Packers(-3.5) at Dolphins

This spread is surprising low. The Packers have turned it up and won’t be looking back from here on out. The Dolphins will slide and it won’t be pretty.

Pick: Packers -3.5 (4 Stars)

Lions(-.5) at Vikings

The Lions blew it last week when they let the Bills come back from a large deficit to steal the game and blow a lot of money for a lot of people. This week, the Lions will rebound and once again give people a reason to bet on them – at least for a few weeks.

Pick: Lions -.5 (5 Stars)

Bengals(-7.5) vs Panthers

The Bengals are coming off their first loss of the season and it was a big one. Meanwhile, the Panthers gave the Bears more than they can handle in a game that proved that this team can beat quality teams in the league.

Pick: Panthers +7.5 (5 Stars)

Patriots(-3.5) at Bills

This is another spread that should be a few points higher. Don’t miss out on an easy pick here as Tom Brady will continue his dominance over the Bills.

Pick: Patriots -3.5 (5 Stars)

Ravens(-3.5) at Buccaneers

The Ravens have played pretty good and the Bucs just look bad. This is another easy pick for bettors worldwide.

Pick: Ravens -3.5 (4 Stars)

Chargers(-7.5) at Raiders

I know the Raiders are bad and the Chargers have probably played better football than any team in the league up to this point, but something tells me that the Raiders are going to give the Bolts a fight. Remember, this is a division game and these teams know each other very well.

Pick: Raiders +7.5 (1 Star)

Seahawks(-8.5) vs Cowboys

The Seahawks may be the best home team we’ve seen in a long time in the NFL, but that doesn’t mean a team can’t come in there and make some noise. The Cowboys are on a role and they have a running game that can match Seattle’s rushing attack. This will be a fast paced game n doubt and the Cowboys will give the Hawks a scare.

Pick: Cowboys +8.5 (3 Stars)

Cardinals(-3.5) vs Redskins

The Cardinals are the most overrated team in the NFL. The Redskins are bad, but I think they may be able to steal one in Arizona.

Pick: Redskins +3.5 (2 Stars)

Eagles(-2.5) vs Giants

This game will be good one. These two teams are peaking and will be ready to deliver. The Giants are just the better all around team I believe and they will back that up on Sunday night.

Pick: Giants +2.5 (2 Stars)

49ers(-3.5) at Rams

The 49ers will dominate.

Pick: 49ers -3.5 (5 Stars)

Richard Sherman Inspired Top Five Postgame Sports Rants

It is the Monday after NFL Championship Sunday, and the whole world is talking about one person – Richard Sherman. Sherman went on an unforgettable rant after the Seattle Seahawks‘ 23-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Things probably would not have gotten so manic if Michael Crabtree did not slap Sherman across the facemask for celebrating in his face after the game-ending turnovers. Either way, we are glad he did it, because without the love tap, we would not be able to talk about the wild postgame happenings.

Sherman may be hated by most at this point, but it does not take away from the pure entertainment surrounding his tirade. Just ask Erin Andrews, who had the privilege of being scared to death by the pulsating, angry 6-foot-5 cornerback. I bet she would not take it back for the world.

We’re going to be hearing a lot more about Sherman and his rant as the week goes on, so that gives us time to focus on some other classic post-game rants. Some of the older gems are buried beneath the fresher outbursts, so let me refresh your memory if need be. Here are five postgame rants that will live on forever and keep us begging for more.
